Dear Neighbors,
We have some very welcome news to share regarding our neighborhood infrastructure. After a massive, multi-phase effort over the last few months, we are happy to report that the community irrigation system is finally fully operational!
As many of you know all too well, our neighborhood has suffered from unreliable or inoperable irrigation for far too long. When we stepped in to investigate, the project turned out to be much larger and more complex than we originally anticipated. Years of excessive, temporary patches had left the core system highly unstable and completely uncoordinated.
To fix this once and for all, we approved a major overhaul with the Agave irrigation team. The repair work required a deep dive into our infrastructure, including (this is the abbreviated list!):
Rewiring & Diagnostics: Tracing complex wire paths throughout the community and replacing dozens of failing connection points.
Valve Infrastructure Overhaul: Rebuilding the underground layout by replacing corrupted piping and faulty valves.
System Controller Replacement: Upgrading our master controller, which was out of date, out of warranty, and continually malfunctioning.
We owe a huge thank you to the Agave irrigation team for their persistence in wrestling this long-standing problem to the ground.
Important note for all residents: Now that the system's programming, flow rates, and electronic decoders are perfectly balanced, it is vital that homeowners do not open common valve boxes or manually adjust any landscape valves. The Board will continue to closely monitor the infrastructure over the coming weeks to ensure it remains stable, and your cooperation will help us keep everything running smoothly.
Thank you all for your incredible patience as we worked to resolve this neighborhood issue! Having a reliable irrigation system finally enables us to start planning for a community plant refresh, which we hope to launch this fall. More to come on that in the months ahead.
Sincerely,
Rob, Keith, and Michael
